01

Voice is optional per installation

The merchant chooses whether voice belongs in the storefront experience. Text chat remains the core path when voice is not enabled.

02

Convert the spoken request to text

The visitor's spoken request is converted to text before the assistant evaluates the question. Voice changes the input method, not the source of product facts.

03

Use the same connected store knowledge

Product, delivery, return, policy, compatibility, and navigation answers still depend on the Shopify information and merchant configuration connected to that installation.

04

Return products only when the data supports them

Product cards, alternatives, or complementary items should appear only when current catalog context supports the result. Missing information should not become a guess.

05

Keep privacy and uncertainty visible

Merchants should publish the privacy information appropriate for their visitor-data handling and should state clearly when a language, accent, or environment has not been tested.

06

Test on real mobile shopping journeys

Test common voice questions on product, collection, cart, and policy pages using the devices and languages relevant to the store.
